Nippon Slag Association was founded in October 1978 by 20 steel manufacturers and companies manufacturing and selling iron and steel slag products. Thanks to everyone's support, since that time the Association has continued to work in areas such as promoting quality improvements in iron and steel slag products, developing technologies for utilizing iron and steel slag products, and acquiring government certification for these products. As a result, iron and steel slag products are used in a wide range of applications, including cement materials, road materials, civil engineering works, materials for port and harbor construction, and concrete aggregate, and are playing a growing role in supporting the expansion of our society’s infrastructure.
To protect the global environment, there are growing demands from society for recycling to reduce environmental impacts. Our Association aims to increase the use of iron and steel slag products among consumers not only as replacements for natural resources, but also as high-value industrial products in their own right.
For this purpose, based on the technologies and trust we have developed as a pioneer in the recycling field, we will continue to further improve product quality, develop technologies for utilizing these products, and work for a stable supply of iron and steel slag products.
